Convert audio and video to text, free
Upload a recording and get a clean transcript with timestamps and speaker labels, as TXT and SRT. Works with Arabic, English and mixed-language audio. No signup for your first file.
Free without an account: up to 25 MB and 30 minutes, 1 file per day.
Your file is deleted from our servers and our speech provider as soon as processing ends. To prevent abuse we keep your IP address and basic request details for up to 90 days.
How it works
- 1
Upload
Drop an MP3, M4A, WAV or video file. Large files upload in resumable chunks.
- 2
We transcribe
Speech recognition handles Arabic, English and mixed-language audio, and separates the speakers.
- 3
Download
Copy the text or download TXT and SRT subtitles with timestamps and speaker names.
Built for real recordings
Arabic and English together
Handles code-switching, so a meeting that jumps between Arabic and English stays in one transcript.
Speaker labels
Each speaker gets a label, so interviews and meetings are easy to follow.
TXT and SRT output
Plain text with timestamps for notes, plus SRT subtitles that load in any video editor or player.
Private by default
Audio is deleted as soon as processing ends. Guest transcripts disappear after 24 hours.

About accuracy
Automatic transcription is a draft, not a certified record. Quality depends on audio clarity, background noise and dialect, and Arabic dialects are harder than formal Arabic. Always review names, numbers and quotes before you share or rely on a transcript.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the audio to text converter really free?
- Yes. You can transcribe one file per day without an account, up to the size and duration shown above. A free account raises the file size limit and saves your transcripts.
- Does it support Arabic?
- Yes. It supports Arabic and English, including recordings that mix both. Dialect accuracy varies, so review the result before you rely on it.
- Which files can I upload?
- MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4, WEBM, OGG, FLAC, AAC, AIFF, AMR and ASF audio and video files.
- Can it tell speakers apart?
- Yes. Speaker labels are on by default. You can switch them off if you only need plain text.
- What happens to my file?
- It is deleted from our servers and from our speech provider as soon as transcription finishes. Guest transcripts are removed after 24 hours.
- Why do you store my IP address?
- To enforce the one-file-per-day limit and stop abuse. IP addresses and basic request details are kept for up to 90 days.
- Is it legal to transcribe a recording?
- Only transcribe recordings you have the right to use, and tell the people in them where the law requires. Rules differ by country: in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE, consent of all parties is generally required.
